Catholic Theology offers a wide range of analysis of the Bible, Church history, philosophical traditions - but also of current ethical and sociological questions. The degree programme introduces to the development of the Christian faith and the ecclesiastical life in the horizon of the mental, social, cultural and religious frameworks in history and present.

Students will gain the ability to form scientifically substantiated theological judgement and are qualified for a various professions: for the priesthood and other professions in the service of the Church, as theological professionals in ecclesiastical and non-ecclesiastical institutions as well as in the scholarly field.
