Admission to a Bachelor-/Master-/Diploma programme
At the University of Vienna the admission to a Bachelor-/Master- or Diploma programme is carried out centrally by the Admission Office. The Faculties of the University are not involved in the admission procedure.

Studienberechtigungsprüfung:
It is possible to achieve university entrance qualification for a Bachelor's, diploma or teacher training programme by taking a Studienberechtigungsprüfung (SBP) if you do not have a secondary-school leaving certificate (Reifezeugnis/Matura). You take the Studienberechtigungsprüfung for a specific study group, but it does not entitle you to pursue other studies. If you change to another study group, you must complete the Studienberechtigung for this study group.

At the University of Vienna the admission to a PhD/Doctoral programme is carried out centrally by the Center for Doctoral Studies. The Faculties of the University are not involved in the admission procedure.
