Master's Programme in Religious Education Focus on Othodox Religious Education

The Master’s Programme in Religious Education with a focus on Orthodox Religious Education is designed as pre-professional education for teachers of religion, primarily in secondary schools.

Students who have completed either a Bachelor’s in Religious Studies or Studies in Orthodox Theology advance their studies in scientific theology and acquire pedagogical, didactic, and professional skills in the field of education.

Furthermore, students will deepen their knowledge of – and develop a critical approach to –  the Christian-biblical revelation, the unfolding of the Christian faith, as well as church life from an orthodox perspective. These will be studied in light of historical and present day social, cultural, and religious developments.
