Bachelor's programme in Religious Education- focus on Orthodox Religious Education

The Bachelor's programme with a focus on Orthodox religious education offers you a comprehensive introduction to all subject areas of Orthodox theology, expanded by the educational science components provided, and prepares you for the Master's programme with a focus on Orthodox religious education.

In this form, the university Bachelor's programme in Orthodox Religious Education is unique in the German-speaking region. The denominational parts of the curriculum are offered by Orthodox teachers from the University of Vienna and by Orthodox teachers from the Kirchlich-Pädagogische Hochschule Wien/Krems.

For Orthodox religious education in the teaching profession, the Orthodox Religious Education major must be studied. It does not have to be combined with any other teaching subject.
