The University of Vienna has defined an extension study of 45 ECTS for graduates of a six-semester bachelor's program of the Verbund Nord-Ost in the subject of Catholic Religion (compulsory combination) or Religious Education (focus on Catholic or Orthodox Religious Education), which must be completed before admission to the master's program.

The extension study serves to expand the competences and, after completion, entitles the student to access the respective Master's study for the teaching profession of Catholic Religion (compulsory combination) or the Master's study for Religious Education (focus on Catholic or Orthodox Religious Education).
