Communication and media ethics

The EC Communication and Media Ethics focuses on the importance of media and the individual and societal use of media in today's world. The EC enables students to acquire reflective and (philosophical-)ethical competences: They encounter central media ethical theories and learn to recognise and describe problems of action in the media field and to reflect on them with regard to normative questions. They deal with the political significance of public communication and its technical prerequisites from an ethical perspective. In addition, you will have the opportunity to dedicate yourself to individual topics from the field of media ethics and to deepen your knowledge in an application-oriented way.
