The range of study courses in the field of Catholic Theology is broadly diversified and based on modules. The basic and advanced courses of all theological curricula are identical, which makes the combination of several programmes easier.
- The Diploma Programme of Catholic Theology offers you a comprehensive, classical theological education.
- Each of the courses of “Teaching Subject Catholic Religion” (which must be combined with a second teaching subject) and “Catholic Religious Education” (which can be studied as a subject of its own) consist of a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree.
- The “Master's programme in Advanced Theological Studies” offers an access to theology to students with non-theological degrees but can also be designed in such a way that it corresponds to a licentiate according to the Roman study regulations and, therefore, is ecclesiastically recognized.
- The “Doctoral Programme of Catholic Theology” offers students the opportunity of academic specialization in both philosophical and theological subjects and is concluded with the degree of a canonical Doctor of Theology (Dr. theol.).
- The “PhD programme of Theological Studies” is also accessible to graduates of non-theological studies and concluded with the degree of a PhD in Theology.
- The “PhD programme of Philosophy in Humanities and Cultural Studies, Philosophy and Educational Science” (with a focus on Religious Studies) is also open to graduates of non-theological studies and is concluded with a PhD in Philosophy.
